Stepping On is a free and exciting community-based falls prevention program for seniors. It is designed to build knowledge, strength and confidence to prevent falls and help you stay active and healthy.
Groups are targeted to persons who are 65 years and older, living in their own home, able to walk independently or with a walking stick and are fearful of falling or have experienced recent falls. In addition to standard group offerings, speciality groups targeting cultural and linguistically diverse populations are offered.
Referrals for the program can be made by your treating inpatient team, GP or you can self-refer. For further information on the program, contact the Stepping On coordinator on 02 9808 9685.
