Royal Rehab has announced that it has merged with breakthru, a leading for-purpose disability support organisation, registered NDIS provider, disability employment services provider and registered training organisation. The merger will enable greater access to a wider range of services and supports for people with disability and for disadvantaged groups across New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria.
The merger will mean thousands of Australians will be able to receive multidisciplinary rehabilitation and allied health therapy including advanced rehabilitation technology, supported accommodation services, disability services, mental health supports and employment services through the one organisation. Training services will also be available for disability support workers, aged care workers, allied health assistants and mental health professionals.
For Royal Rehab and breakthru customers, we are pleased to let you know that the merger will mean you will continue to receive the same great services plus you will now be able to access a selection of new services!

Royal Rehab is currently leading the market in offering advanced rehabilitation technology to Australians out of our Sydney-based sites. Through the merger, we aim to make the latest devices — such as robotics, virtual reality, and communication equipment — available through breakthru’s 23 metropolitan, regional, and rural locations across New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria. This will enable more Australians to access cutting-edge technology and much-needed clinical support services that would otherwise be significantly delayed or unavailable.

The organisations will bring together a combined 146 years of experience, specialist skills and expertise in the rehabilitation and disability support sectors. The merger will enable Royal Rehab to share in training, upskilling and research opportunities for the 1300+ employees across Royal Rehab and breakthru, positively contributing to the health care and community services sectors.
breakthru will now operate as a subsidiary of Royal Rehab under the breakthru brand.
