The Community Therapy service is expanding as as such we require a motivated and enthusiastic fulltime allied health assistant to support our growing team. Working with a dedicated group of clinicians, you will be supporting our clients’ to achieve their goals by implementing structured therapy, providing group based support and supporting the operation of our brand new gym and clinic. There will be variety in the role, seeing clients both on site and in the community. The position will be working in a therapy service with opportunities to an integral part of the new therapy service which incorporates technology and innovation to optimise the effectiveness of therapy interventions. This may include, but not be limited to, robotic exoskeletons, body weight support systems, recumbent cycles and virtual reality.
Your main Duties will include:
- Supporting Community Therapy clients goal achievement by implementing planned therapy interventions on site and in the community
- Supporting clinicians of varied disciplines to achieve their therapeutics goals
- Supporting the service to run effectively
We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with:
- Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Experience working with people with physical and neurological disabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to swim and cycle confidently
